pool time today. I want my ankle and foot to feel better I am hoping that a little break will help it go away.  This is supposed to be a high mileage week too, which disappoints me. I just need to be heeled for St. George.

From my house to the mouth of Provo canyon which was 3.5 miles which was a great warm up.  From the mouth of the canyon I tried to tempo/marathon race pace minus 15 seconds up the canyon 4 miles.  With the headwind and uphill I was only able to really hit my time on about 3 of the 4 miles.  I stopped at 7.5 miles and turned.  From there I marathon race paced down the canyon and back to the soccer park which was a six mile tempo at race pace averaged 6:56 miles for the six mile tempo which is not as hard as I could have gone.  My foot is still a little ache' and soar I am hoping for a nice recovery on my taper.

Monday morning run subtract the horse trail hill I am still trying to let the tendonitis in my foot heal up, it is so weird it is on and off.  The pain was bothering me after my run on Saturday for a few hours I went to costco and then it just instantly went away like someone had flipped a switch.

Started at Vivian park running down the canyon to Wills.  I ran a 5k at 5k race pace starting at Canyon Glen heading down the canyon.  For the 5K: mile 1, 6:02, mile 2, 6:18, mile 3, 6:16, and .1, :35 seconds. For a total of 19:12 for the 5K.  I was happy but I wanted to go under 19 minutes.  St. George 1 week wahoo.
